Course Description
The dental assistant is a valuable member of the dental health team who performs many essential duties in the dental office. These duties may include preparing the patient for treatment, assisting the dentist in all procedures, recording of vital signs, processing and mounting radiographs, sterilizing instruments, dental terminology and basic laboratory procedures. Students learn the theoretical aspect of dentistry including dental anatomy, dental procedures, instrument sterilization, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on effective communication and working collaboratively with dental office members including dentists,hygienists, front office staff, patients, and the general public. 

 
Course Goal:
Instruction is geared to chairside assisting, providing patient care, and related duties with minimal training in front office skills which prepares students to successfully obtain employment in a dental office. Students will earn a Covid-19 Dental Course Certificate of Completion.

$1,200.00 Semester 1
$1,200.00 Semester 2  = $2,400 total
Fees include textbooks. 
We collaborate with federal agencies to support student with financial needs.
